During the pandemic I was going through a pretty rough spot. I was teaching from home, and student morale was at an all time low. On video calls I was doing my best to project optimism and inspiration, but off-screen my mental health wasn’t good.
Coming up with a passion project that I was really excited about helped to lift me out of a creative funk. I was excited to work on the game every day. The support and love I received for the character, as well as the friendships I’ve made from people who reached out wanting to work on it with me re-ignited my passion to create. One proud moment was getting noticed and shared by LadBible, which had a wonderful boost to the social media following and led to pitching and talks with a major UK publishing company.
